As seen on TV – AtHome feature in Double Your House for Half the Money

2014 Sees AtHome Electrical and Plumbing on this year’s first Episode of Double your house for half the money with the famous Sarah Beeny.

The Channel 4 programme on prime time TV, has followed this 60’s style property in the Leicestershire village of Great Bowden near Market Harborough. The house was in need of a full renovation including a plumbing and electrical overhaul, as well as a 2 story extension.

We were asked by Paul and Mimi to carry out a full house rewire, replacement central heating throughout and installation of underfloor heating. The renovation and large 2 story rear extension took approx 5 months to carry out with around 80 hours of filming for only 23 minutes shown on TV.

The outside of the property has been updates and is now in keeping with the beautiful Great Bowden village. The modernisation inside has created a spacious, modern, stylish, contemporary feel with full width bi-folding doors offering a huge amount of natural light into the kitchen/dinning area. The living space has been extended into the garden and a large master bedroom with en-suite has been added upstairs.

AtHome Electrical and Plumbing has worked with some very highly skilled tradesmen and a fantastic film crew on this project, it was a very enjoyable experience for our company.
